It’s now official, SSO is going global.. and by that we mean our album will be available online at most major online retailers. In fact, SoundRoots.org has even put our album as one of the top 10 world music albums this month. Read about it at http://www.soundroots.org/2012/06/top-10-global-albums-june-2012.html.
This project also includes hiring Richey, Pete, and Joel to perform and work on production for the film score. We’re excited to introduce SSO’s newest full time member, drummer Matt Ellis. He also just recently got sponsored by Soultone Cymbals and Silverfox Drumsticks. Not too shabby. Read more about Matt and his life story at http://www.somervillesymphonyorkestar.com/about/matt-ellis.
Come see the SSO play an extended set at Church of Boston as part of their free Tuesday nights sponsored by www.mysecretboston.com with special guests, The Highway. Check out our Tour page for more info.
Along with his passion for music, SSO founder Joel Edinberg is now writing restaurant reviews in a he said/she said format for the new website www.2dineforboston.com. It just launched to check it out to find good restaurants in the Boston area. I know, as musicians we typically don’t get to eat much food, so this is a very special treat!
